Well I am totally behind on posting for Cody. So here is my attempt to kinda catch up. I included about a month’s worth of posts. Enjoy 🙂
2/2/15 Hey everyone! I hope that you all had a good week! My week was ok. An Elder in my district has apendicitus and cant work so we have been doing inter changes with them so they can work too. We have also walked alot!! WE don´t have a lot of people to visit so we are going to contact a ton of people! Hopefully we find someone:) I hope that you all can accompany the missionaries this week:)
1/19/15–Hey everyone!!! Hope that you are all doing well! This last week was a little tough! Me and my comp got sick!!! It was the worst. My nose was like a water fountain EWWW! The work has been going slow because well all of December and January are holidays! They are always having some type of holiday or party! An elder in my district goes home tomorrow he finished his mission! It is weird to think that i only have 6 transfers left! That is going to go by so fast! We should be having a baptism here soon in February! Keep strong and be of a good courage!
1/12/15–This week i have learned about being a disciple of Christ. To be his disciple you must leave or be willing to leave everything for him. Your car, house, money, and even your family. There is a scripture that says that he who loves his life shall loose it and he that hateth his life shall find it in eternal life. We must be willing to even give our own life to serve Christ!
I haven’t got your letter. Our house is like a normal Little house, more like an apartment. I don’t cook. I usually eat like macaroni or tuna. Laundry is by hand but we learned how to make a home made washer so we are going to try it out and see how it works. The mtc is on the other side of the city about 2 hours away. There is no way i would be able to see him.(referring to Cameron when he goes to the Mexico MTC in a month.)
That’s funny that you went on a date!! You should just focus on yourself. The conference was good. I watched it all in spanish but i liked the Jeffery R Holland’s talk. It was good.
Don’t forget to write! I found out that I return home from my mission on Sept. 26, 2015. I have less than a year left!
P.S. I found some pictures of Cody on someone else’s blog so I stole them 😉 I believe these were taken in April 2014.
Another week down in the books. <<As I have been keeping this blog for Cody, I think it is interesting that for the last month he thinks he has less than a year left. In reality he won’t hit the year mark until Oct. 16, 2014 >> #lds #ldsmission #mexico
Cody writes: We are going to have another baptism this week. I don’t have any callings cause, well, the only calling you can get as a missionary is branch president. The Ward is good. I have 5 months in this Ward. Challenges do not always bring blessings. <Cody was answering some questions I asked. He wasn’t very chatty last week. I am hoping to get more words from him this week. 😉 >>
Cody told me he has learned he is a man of few words. I have found out that if you actual sit down and write a letter that he will write you one back. You just have to include a self-addressed stamped envelope. Thanks for the tip Heath and Michelle!
I asked this question to Cody: What do you do to keep your faith up? Pray? Scriptures? What else?
Read DandC 88: 22-24. It talks about how to have the celestial kingdom.22 For he who is not able to abide the law of a celestial kingdom cannot abide a celestial glory.
24 And he who cannot abide the law of a telestial kingdom cannot abide a telestial glory; therefore he is not meet for a kingdom of glory. Therefore he must abide a kingdom which is not a kingdom of glory.
Here is his baptism from this week. 🙂
Well today is Mexican Independence Day and tomorrow too! It is weird they have like 2 days of parties! We have to go home at 6 pm today normally it is 9 when we go home. We are going to have a baptism this Saturday!!! I am training a new missionary. Well I hope you all have fun this week!:)
Sept 15, 2014–Carson has my belt. haha it is funny everytime you send me a picture someone has my clothes on haha.
Well this Saturday we are going to have a baptism! It is always hard to find new people cause we are always finding new people and sometimes people stop listening to us. Hey Can you do me a huge favor!!! Can you apply me to go to school in BYU Hawaii for the next year when school starts in September. This week I have been thinking a lot about that and I just feel like I need to at least be enrolled that way I can decide what to do:)
Sept 8, 2014–Well we have to always follow Jesus. wwjd? Read mosiah 3:19 this talks about leaving the natural man behind and it says we have to become like children! Wow I will always be a child haha:D
Sept 1, 2014–This week was pretty good! we had 3 people at church from our investigators and they all liked it! We are going to have some baptisms soon! I am training a new missionary. he is cool and we have lots of fun! The Mexican independence day is coming up and dang it is starting to get crazy. They have super big parties and it is crazy!
Today I guess you could say I had a mini miracle. I woke up this morning and I was feeling good and then out of no where I got really sick at like 830 and i was having to use the bathroom a lot and then after that I started throwing up. I have felt bad all day! But about an hour ago my comp gave me a blessing and while he was giving me a blessing I felt the spirit so strong and it felt like it was making me feel better. And right now Ii feel better. My stomach still hurts a Little bit but besides that i feel just fine!!
